Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for using BriefScroll without harming people, services, or rights holders.
Last updated: 2026-06-07
Allowed use
Use BriefScroll to collect sources you are allowed to access, read saved items, keep notes and highlights, and ask questions across your own library.
Prohibited use
- Do not use the service for illegal activity.
- Do not add sources, files, images, or imports that you do not have permission to access or use.
- Do not probe, bypass, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attack the service or its providers.
- Do not send spam, abusive messages, malware, or deceptive source material through the service.
- Do not run high-volume automation, scraping, or source fetching that harms BriefScroll or source sites.
- Do not create an account if you are under 13, or if you are under 18 without parent or guardian consent.
- Do not treat AI summaries or answers as professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice without checking the cited sources and using qualified help where needed.
Sources and rights
BriefScroll is built for personal reading and research. It must not be used to bypass paywalls, site access controls, robots restrictions, source terms, or publisher rights.
If a source objects, restricts access, removes media, or asks us to stop using its content, we may remove or disable related items.
Paid options
If an official API, licensed feed, image license, commercial data source, tax tool, legal review, or other paid option would make a feature safer or better, agents and builders should say so instead of working around the issue silently.
Enforcement
We may throttle, suspend, remove content, or close accounts that violate this policy. We will use reasonable judgment and may act faster where security, legal risk, or source-provider harm is involved.
